A day in a finnish summer cottage

I had been hearing stories of Finnish summer cottages ever since I moved to Finland but never got a chance to spend some time in one, until yesterday when we went to spend a day/night at the summer place of Suvi (a good friend of Ansku) in a forest not so far from Tampere. It was really lovely to be there. I am now really looking forward to spend the last week of July in Ansku's summer place, which I've heard is even nicer.

It's not authentic before you have
1) Burnt at least finger when bbq'ing some sausages
2) Run naked into the lake
3) Drank at least 0.75L of bad quality Finnish vodka (Koskenkorva)

Also, it HAS TO rain constantly while doing it. Especially the BBQ outside part. Then it's a genuine Finnish experience.

Almost happend but not really. :(

2) Run naked into the lake

Didn't do it but the rest of the people (Finns) who did that, were not naked. I did go to the sauna *naked* and also spanked myself with branches (Vasta) in there.

Nobody even suggested that so didn't do it, but had some nice beer and wine. :)

That really did happen. Two of us went on the boat (I was the one rowing) with fishing rods and as soon as we were in the middle of the lake, it started to rain heavily. We did not give-up until there came thunders, at which point it wasn't safe to be there. :( After that point it kept on raining and we bbq'ed.
